Santa’s North Berwick Beach Run
This new event is aimed at seasoned athletes, casual runners and families alike. We are therefore offering three race distances along the scenic East Lothian coast line. The North Berwick Santa Beach Run is hosted by East Lothian Triathlon Club but is being organised by Saskia Drijver-Headley. All proceeds will go towards Saskia’s fundraising efforts for her Project Trust year in Guyana where she will be teaching sciences at a rural school with few teaching materials.

Start time: 10:00
Event base: Hope Rooms, 34 Forth Street, North Berwick, EH39 4JD
Routes: All races will start on the beach outside the Hope Rooms and will go out and back to the West of North Berwick. This will involve getting your feet wet and climbing over some rocky sections. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothes for wintery conditions.
2k – all ages (children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult)
5k – 14 years old and over
10k – 17 years old and over
Registration: 08:30-9:30 by the Hope Rooms where you will receive your race number and santa hat. There will be no refunds for cancelled entries.
Children under 7 years old on the day of the event – £2
Youngsters between the ages of 7 years and below 17 on the day of the event – £7
Young people and adults aged 17 years and over on the day of the event – £12
Scottish Athletics members will receive a £2 discount

Beach Wheelchairs: If you require the use of a wheelchair and would like to take part there are beach wheelchairs available in North Berwick. For more information visit www.beachwheelchairs.org
Food and drink: All participants will receive a santa hat on arrival and a hot drink and homebaking after their run. Family members can also purchase hot drinks and home baking in the Hope Rooms. There are also likely to be other fund raising activities in the Hope Rooms.
Photos and Consent: By signing up for this event you give consent to photos being taken of participants which may be used for future publicity.
Adults will be responsible for the children in their care.
Participants’ details will be shared with Scottish Athletics in line with Date Protection legislation.
This event follows UK Athletic Rules and is a licensed event with Scottish Athletics.
